Language Arts: They will continue reading If You Find A Rock/Informational text, The Puddle Puzzle/Drama, ,and Looking at Art/Fine Art. We will be working on connecting to text (Central Idea) asking and answering questions, using visual to connect to text. Vocabulary, and Phonics.
Working with Words (Spelling): Working With Words: Spelling pattern- short and long vowels
Students will practice these words through Word Work time in class, but they will need to go over these at home as well. No Spelling Homework due.
Writing: Students will working on writing Descriptive writings. They will be working on using singular and plural nouns correctly in their writings.
Math: We will be continue working on Chapter 2. We will be problem solving by comparing numbers, looking at place value, and counting on and back by 10’s and 100’s.
Theme Students will finish up Ch. 1. Students should focus on important vocabulary in the chapter, as well understand why we have government, who is in charge of each level of government, and understand the voting process.
Every day at home – 1. Check binders for notes and papers. Some may need to be completed or signed and returned to school!
2. Check the behavior chart and reinforce the positive choices your student is making at school!
3. We also have snack every day, so please send in a healthy snack daily.
4. Lastly, read, read, read!!

Please send in notes/Dr. excuses with each absence. Please contact me for your child's make-up work if your child is sick or will be out for a few days.
Any changes in transportation need to be called in to the office as EARLY as possible. Please do not email me transportation changes in case I cannot check emails late in the day.
